Daniel Radcliffe and Owen Wilson are heading to the skies for their new roles in a TV sitcom set in Heaven.

Miracle Workers is a seven-episode series greenlit by TBS, executive produced by Saturday Night Live's Lorne Michaels and created by Man Seeking Woman's Simon Rich, who will also act as showrunner (via The Hollywood Reporter).

Radcliffe is set to star as an angel called Craig, described as a low-level worker with the responsibility of handling all of humanity's prayers.

His boss, God (Wilson), has mostly stepped aside from his day-to-day work to enjoy indulging in his favourite hobbies, leaving Craig to work his greatest miracle ever to prevent Earth's destruction.

Radcliffe and Wilson will also executive produce the project due to hit screens in 2018.

Brett Weitz, executive vice president of original programming for TBS, said: "Having Daniel Radcliffe and Owen Wilson join the TBS family is proof of the continued evolution of this comedy brand as the home of the most creative minds in the business."

He added: "Owen Wilson has long been a comic genius, and Daniel's performance in last year's Swiss Army Man really proved that there's a sophisticated comedian under the surface of those brilliant dramatic chops. Simon and Lorne are total pros in walking the tightrope between reality and ridiculousness, and they do it with a lot of heart and wit."

All sounds heavenly to us (sorry....).
