Danielle Harold has joked that washing Nigel Farage’s pants was the highlight of her I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! experience.

The former EastEnders actor was the latest celeb to be eliminated from the ITV reality show jungle, getting her marching orders just days before the grand final. She appeared on ITV’s Lorraine not long after leaving, where she said she’d had “the time of my life”.

Harold also opened up about sharing the camp with former UKIP leader Farage, who has made headlines this series for stripping off and lathering up naked in the jungle shower.

What, how, and why?

“Nigel was like the dad of camp,” she said. “He just gets on with it, carries the water up and down the hill every day bless him… he’s been a big part of my jungle experience and the craziest new mate that I’ve made.”

“Definitely one of my crazy highlights was washing Mr Farage’s pants in the creek, I have to say!” Harold went on. “He was a big part of my time in there, he really was.”

The actor said leaving camp had been “surreal” and that it was the "weirdest" feeling seeing her mum waiting for her as she crossed the bridge as she left.

“It’s the craziest feeling to be out and see people and normal things, it’s just so surreal, it really is,” she said, telling host Lorraine Kelly that she jumped straight into the shower then tucked into a McDonald’s after leaving.

What else happened on Lorraine?

Harold also told how she is now hoping that Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson goes on to win I'm A Celebrity. She said the pair grew close in camp and that he would be a deserving winner.

“I bonded with everyone in my own way but definitely Sam, he’s become like my little brother in there," she said. "Even though he’s the same age as me, but obviously you’ve been watching Sam and he’s just like a little brother, winding each other up.

“We just had absolutely the best time and laughed so much. He definitely deserves to be King of the Jungle. He is my King of the Jungle anyway.”
