Danniella Westbrook has NOT relapsed, star 'in and out of hospital' with blood poisoning

Former EastEnders’ star Danniella Westbrook has been “in and out of hospital” with blood poisoning after she was rushed to hospital in August with septicaemia.

The potentially-fatal illness has forced the star to keep returning for further treatment over the last two months.

A rep for Danniella explained to the MailOnline: “Danniella Westbrook has septicaemia caused by dental problems. She is very unwell and has been in and out of hospital several times over the last two months.”

The news comes following rumours that Danniella had relapsed into drug addiction after she was spotted with a plaster over her nose.

It has now been revealed that the plaster was a result of vigorous dental surgery.

The spokesperson added: “Steel rods going into her gum have caused an infection and therefore she is wearing a plaster with a sponge in her nose to stop the infection spreading.”

Danniella previously revealed that she’d been forced to have all of her teeth removed after she contracted the illness, saying at the time: “I’ve been in hospital. I’ve had to have all my teeth removed for a blood and bone infection, through no fault of my own.

“I’m not on drugs and I’m not pregnant, I’m just very poorly with a blood infection.”

Septicaemia can be fatal if left untreated.

We are definitely wishing Danniella a speedy recovery.
