Danny Dyer's return to EastEnders could see him throwing down with a boyband legend.
Last month, Digital Spy reported that we were mere weeks away from Danny's return to Albert Square after his short hiatus to deal with personal matters.
Now with Danny reportedly back at work, we're starting to hear rumblings about Mick Carter's new storyline and a possible feud with troublemaker Woody Woodward (Blue's Lee Ryan).
According to The Sun, Mick won't be hitting it off with Woody after discovering that the new Albert Square resident had been hired at The Vic while he was away.
The tension will apparently explode into a full-scale brawl between Woody and Mick in front of the entire Square - although the exact reason for it isn't quite clear yet.
Woody Woodward does seem to have a connection with Mick's wife, a secret that's likely to piss off the Vic's landlord whenever the truth is uncovered.
Digital Spy reached out to EastEnders for comment, with a spokesperson telling us: "We don't comment on storyline speculation."
The BBC soap previously described Lee Ryan's character Woody as a playboy who "has worked hard and played hard in bars, clubs and pubs around the world".
"Woody is the best role I could have wished to play. He's a brilliant character, and it's clear he's been leading a full and colourful life," Lee also teased.
"I can't wait for people to see what he's like for themselves. Everyone at EastEnders has been so welcoming. I know some of the cast already so I'm sure we're going to have a lot of fun."
Ever since he took a break from the soap, Danny Dyer has received public backing from EastEnders greats Shaun 'Barry' Williamson and John Altman (aka 'Nasty Nick').
Altman admitted at the TRIC Awards in March that working on the busy EastEnders set can be "exhausting" and at times "very stressful".
EastEnders airs weekdays on BBC One.
