The BBC has given soap fans a first look at the line-up for EastEnders spin-off Secrets From The Square.

The new interview series will see Stacey Dooley grill past and present cast members about life on Albert Square and will plug the gap before the soap returns to TV screens.

On-screen husband and wife duo Danny Dyer and Kellie Bright will appear on the spin-off’s first episode on Monday.

EastEnders stars Linda Henry and Luisa Bradshaw-White will feature in the soap’s spin-off programme.

The pair, who play on-screen sisters Shirley and Tina Carter respectively, will join Dooley to discuss life on Albert Square.

Shona McGarty will also appear on the programme to discuss her character Whitney Dean while Natalie Cassidy will look back at Sonia Fowler’s history on the show.

The broadcaster ran out of new EastEnders episodes for the first time in the soap's history after filming was paused in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The soap will return to filming by the end of the month, with new episodes running to just 20 minutes.

EastEnders will follow in the footsteps of ITV soaps like Coronation Street and Emmerdale as well as Neighbours in Australia.

Producers on the ITV series have revealed the stringent measures being used to enforce social distancing on set, including two metre poles and temperature checks.

EastEnders: Secrets From The Square airs weekly on Mondays at 8pm on BBC One.
