Danny Dyer: ‘Strictly Come Dancing’s Gonna Get Naughty When I’m There For Kellie Bright’ - EXCLUSIVE

When EastEnders’ star Kellie Bright was announced to take part in this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing, we have to admit that our first thought was ‘WHAT ABOUT DANNY DYER?’ as we wondered what her onscreen husband could possibly have to say about Kel getting up, close and personal with another man.

We mean, is the Strictly curse so strong that it can even break up fictional couples?

Well, we caught up with our fave family on Albert Square at last night’s TV Choice awards, and when we asked Dan how he was feeling about Kellie dancing the night away with another man he initially tried to play it cool, explaining to Yahoo Celeb UK: “I’m alright with that, she’s only my onscreen wife, I love her dearly but she has a real husband.”

However, he quickly added: “…I am slightly jealous though.”

Ha, we knew that deep down he would be.

Kellie, who plays Linda Carter in the BBC One soap opera, had previously dished that if Craig Revel Horwood dared to be nasty to her during the live shows Danny will sort him out - a sentiment that the 38-year-old actor didn’t exactly try to deny.

He told us: “I’m right protective of her, we’ll see how it goes but it’s gonna get right naughty when I’m there.”

Needless to say, we can’t bloomin’ wait to see protective Danny rear his head on one of those live shows…

Meanwhile, Danny and Kellie also teased that despite having a quieter few months in Albert Square of late, dramatic times are ahead.

Kellie shared: “You do have to have a break otherwise you’lll go crazy, but don’t worry - there will be more, of course it’s going to get busier for us.”

Unfortunately for all involved, she wouldn’t tell us any more ‘Enders gossip - we guess that we’re just going to have to wait and see what the coming months have in store for the Carter Clan.
