Should Crystal Palace try to hang on to Wilfried Zaha at all costs this summer, or do they take the money and invest it in one or two others?

There is no doubt that if Sam Allardyce has a bit to spend, he will make this team even better and they will finish in the top 10 next season.

I imagine Zaha wants to leave and I don’t blame him for that. There is no harm in wanting to play in Europe and better yourself.

So if the fee is acceptable, both parties should wish each other goodbye and good luck. Do it the right way.

If they get £30m for Zaha, it is a lot of money. Yes, he has had a fantastic season — but while six goals and nine assists in the Premier League are reasonable totals, they are not spectacular.

Even without Zaha, Palace have a decent squad.

Of course, it is always difficult for clubs like them to keep their best players if they are doing well but that is where Allardyce comes in. He has a knack of being able to improve results, while keeping the squad happy. He’s seen it all before and is a fantastic asset.
