Dark Smoke Envelops Village as Wildfire Rages in South of France

A wildfire near Marseille in the south of France had spread through approximately 1,025 hectares of land by August 5, forcing the evacuation of over 2,700 people and the deployment of 1,800 firefighters, according to the local fire department.

Several reception centers have been opened for those evacuating.
