It has been a very long road to get here, but after years and years of waiting, The Dark Tower is almost upon us.
Based on Stephen King's huge book series of the same name, we would expect an anticipated blockbuster such as this to be pretty epic.
Well, its running time has been revealed and it is… 95 minutes long. Wait, what?
That's according to the British Board of Film Classification, and it seems rather odd that in this age of bladder-challengingly long blockbusters, The Dark Tower is only running for an hour and a half.
Also, we've been waiting an eternity for The Dark Tower, guys – where's the reward?
However, the movie is set to be the start of a franchise, with a companion TV series already planned, so they're not trying to squeeze its entirety into that meagre running time. And it seems to have got King's blessing, so that's reassuring.
The latest trailer for the movie was unveiled last week, recapping the history of the gunslingers and focusing on Idris Elba's Roland and Matthew McConaughey's Man in Black.
Doctor Foster actor Tom Taylor as Jake Chambers joins the pair in the movie, alongside Watchmen's Jackie Earle Haley and Cabin in the Woods' Fran Kranz.
The Dark Tower will be in cinemas August 18.
