Dartmouth Academy is hosting a hands-on workshop that’s sure to add some sparkle to your festive spirit—and maybe even your tree.

The local community is being welcomed into school to take part in the festive workshop on Tuesday 3 December from 3.30pm until 5.00pm, being run by Claire Manning, a parent at Dartmouth.

The event will be held in the Art & Design department and people will be able to make their own felted bauble, which can be personalised to turn it into a special Christmas gift. There will be a £5 entry fee to cover the cost of the materials.

Nicola Perrott, assistant headteacher at Dartmouth Academy, said: “This will be a wonderful festive workshop so please do come along if you can. We really want the community to enjoy all the different activities we host and I am looking forward to the festive atmosphere on the day.”

Matthew Shanks, CEO at Education South West said: “It’s great to see that Dartmouth Academy is making such efforts to offer local people a fun and exciting range of workshops. These events foster a strong sense of community spirit, which is so important to us at Education South West. I hope the event is a huge success and that people enjoy their baubles for many years to come.”
