Dashcam footage shows driver 'completely oblivious' as to what is under their car

Dashcam footage shows the moment an oblivious driver drove their SUV the wrong way around a roundabout with a bollard trapped underneath their car.

The moment, caught on camera, shows the oblivious motorist head towards a roundabout in Norris Green before cutting in front of oncoming vehicles and forcing them to slam on their breaks.

Ian Croll, who caught the moment on his dashcam shared the footage with the ECHO. The footage appears to show a black SUV driving the wrong way around a roundabout narrowly missing oncoming traffic.

The motorist is seen taking a sharp left turn into a residential street, seemingly completely unaware that there is a bollard stuck underneath the front of their car. Other motorists on the road can be seen slamming on their breaks and swerving out of the SUV's path, in their attempt to avoid a crash.

Ian told the ECHO: “I was driving through Norris Green on Sunday afternoon when on approach to a roundabout I noticed a car driving on the wrong side of the road.

“It all happened very quickly but cars in front had to brake quickly and appeared to move out of the way of the driver who clearly had no regard for anyone. It was reckless and dangerous and I’m shocked no one was seriously hurt.

“What’s more concerning was the driver seemed to be completely oblivious to the fact the car had a bollard stuck under the wheel." It is not known whether the driver was reported to police.
