A date has been given when empty new houses built off the A5 will finally welcome their first tenants. It has been almost five years since planning permission was granted for 59 new homes on the former home of A5 Aquatics.

It has been more than two years since they were built - and they have been standing empty ever since. CoventryLive revealed that there had been issues in regards to Highways issues and drainage at the site.

These appear to have been solved in a new planning application submitted to Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council. While approval is pending for the works, CoventryLive contacted Midland Heart, which is responsible for the new estate, to find out when the homes will finally be lived in.

It is likely to be in spring next year, according to a statement from Chris Miller, director of development. In it, it states: "We’re working closely with our contractor Countryside Partnerships, who are in the final stages of agreeing the highway works needed for the occupation of Meadowcroft Farm.

"We are confident that good progress is being made and look forward to welcoming tenants to their new homes once this has concluded, which we expect will be by the end of March 2025."
