All the dates in February where England faces snow as Met Office speaks out
ALL the dates in February that the UK faces snow have been revealed by medium-term and long-range weather modelling. WX Charts, which uses Met Desk data, has laid bare what lies ahead during the second month of the year, which kicks off next weekend.
Unsettled weather conditions are set to continue into next month. Maps show snowfall could hit on February 4 before a double whammy on February 7 and February, with 3cm per hour falling on the latter two days in a 48-hour blast.
The Lake District, North east of England and North West are at-risk, as well as Birmingham and the Midlands and the East Anglia region. Scotland faces -4C lows, too, with snowfall north of the border falling more widely as it takes the brunt of the Arctic shift.

A Met Office forecast spanning January 29 onwards explains: "An unsettled start to the period with a further area of low pressure likely to bring some rain into the UK, perhaps heaviest in the south while the north is more likely to see a mix of drier interludes and showers.
"Once this feature clears we see a trend toward more settled conditions, and for much of the UK these likely to continue to the end of the period, although the extreme northwest may see further spells of rain and strong winds at times.
"Temperatures overall are likely to end up being around or slightly above average, though wind and rain will make it feel chilly at first. As conditions become more settled there is an increases risk of overnight frost and fog."
"Generally mild at first, with periods of rain, showers and strong winds alternating with short-lived brighter and cooler interludes. Any rain and strong winds are more likely to affect northern parts during this period though, with pressure possibly building across southern areas in particular. This would result in longer drier and more-settled spells here, albeit with an increased chance of overnight fog and frost. Temperatures probably close to average with any colder interludes expected to be brief," its February 8 to February 22 outlook adds.
