Get ready to lift some steins and dig out your finest pair of Lederhosen, a German food and drink festival will be making a return to the Kent coast very soon. Following a successful first year in 2023, the Bavarian-themed Wünder Harbour celebration in Folkestone is coming back this September.

Promising to be bigger and better than last year’s three-day event, the celebration of all things beers, sausages and music will now take place across three weekends from Saturday, September 21. A coastal twist on the beloved annual German food and drink festival, Wünder Harbour will be totally free to attend and there’s plenty to look forward to.

Independent traders will be cooking up mouth-watering German-inspired dishes, from bratwurst to pretzels, while authentic Bavarian beers will be flowing by the stein. Returning for 2024, the Bettesteiner Footstompers Oompah Band will help set the atmosphere with live music performances across the three weekends.

Folkestone Harbour and Seafront Development Company General Manager, Paulo Kingston-Corriea says: “Wünder Harbour was new to our events line-up in 2023, and it proved to be a massive hit. It’s a great, fun way to bring people together with our own unique twist on a well-known Bavarian holiday and kick off the autumn and winter events season down here at Folkestone Harbour.”
