Dates Kent’s biggest Oktoberfest celebration will return to city centre
It’s time to dig out your finest pair of Lederhosen and start brushing up on your German as Kent’s biggest Oktoberfest celebration is nearly here. Once again, the annual Bavarian tradition will be making its way to Canterbury, taking over the Westgate Hall for two days of steins and celebration.
Running on Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5, the event has been a popular feature of the city calendar since 2019. Guests are encouraged to get on their best fancy dress, specifically traditional Bavarian outfits, with hundreds expected to attend and tickets selling fast.
Alongside the range of traditional German beers served authentically in steins, there will be a selection of Bavarian-style street food to enjoy. Of course, no Oktoberfest celebration would be complete without music and there will be live Oompah bands helping to set the tone, as well as DJs that will keep the party going.
