Dave Grohl confirms he has fathered child "born outside" his marriage
Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has announced that he has fathered a child "born outside" his marriage.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee made the announcement on his Instagram account on Tuesday (September), promising that he'd try to earn "forgiveness" from his wife and children.
"I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” he wrote. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
The STUDIO 666 star went on: "We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”

Grohl turned off comments on his post and has thus far disclosed no further details about the birth of his newborn daughter.
The former Glastonbury Festival headliner has been married to wife Jordyn Blum since 2003, with the couple having met at the famed Sunset Marquis Whiskey Bar in West Hollywood.
The Grohls have three children together — 18-year-old Violet Maye, 15-year-old Harper Willow and 10-year-old Ophelia Saint.

Foo Fighters are coming off a US stadium tour over the summer to promote their album But Here We Are — the band's first since the tragic death of its drummer Taylor Hawkins in March 2022. The rock band will be back on US stages for a headline performance at the Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, CT, later this month.
Away from the concert stage, Grohl notably directed the eight-part series Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways for HBO and the documentary film Sound City. More recently, Grohl produced and directed the Prime Video film What Drives Us, about up-and-coming rock bands RadKey and Starcrawler.
