Dave Grohl invites blind fan onstage during Foo Fighters concert

Dave Grohl is certainly having a good month. The Foo Fighters frontman has already been praised for gifting one of his guitars to a 10-year-old Metallica fan after inviting him onstage during the band's US tour. Then on Thursday 18 October, the rock star invited a blind boy with autism on stage.

According to a journalist from Minneapolis radio station Go 96.3, Grohl spotted the fan during the band's set and called him and his family over in-between songs. After they came onstage, Grohl brought his guitar over so the boy could touch the strings as he performed.

The boy's mother, Stacy Anderson, later posted on Facebook beneath a Consequence of Sound story to provide more details of the family's experience.

"Owen is in fact blind, he also has autism, Crohn's Disease and developmental disabilities," she wrote.

"Owen loves concerts so much. He was definitely not tired, he likes to be held up front at most shows and we take turns holding him up so he can dance. Dave Grohl and all of the crew were incredibly kind of our family."

Foo Fighters released their ninth studio album Concrete and Gold last year, which reached No.1 in the UK and the US.
