Dave Grohl To Go Solo After Falling Out With Foo Fighters Drummer?

Fresh off the back of Dave Grohl’s moving performance at Sunday night’s Oscars it has been reported that the rocker is set to go solo after a falling out with his bandmate.

The 47-year-old is frontman of The Foo Fighters and although the band have insisted that they are on a hiatus an insider has revealed that Dave has his heart set on going solo, which has left drummer Taylor Hawkins unimpressed.

The source claimed: “The band is billing it as a ‘break’ but it’s totally Dave going solo, and Taylor is p*ssed about it.”

Another insider has dubbed the reports “completely untrue” according to the New York Post’s Page Six column, but it’s thought that Dave’s performance on Sunday was his first step into the industry as a solo artist.

The star gave a moving rendition of ‘Blackbird’ for the In Memoriam tribute at the 2016 Academy Awards at the Dolby theatre, with Dave playing guitar and singing whilst a video in the background honored people in the film industry who we tragically lost in the last year.

Dave was widely praised for the performance on social media, hinting that he is ready to ditch his bandmates for good.
