David Beckham said he "feels so lucky" to have been able to visit The Great Wall of China for the “first time”.
The former professional footballer took to social media to mark the special occasion.
The image showed the 43-year-old leaning on the wall with the stunning sights behind him.
He captioned the image: “Today I was able to visit The Great Wall of China for the first time.
“I feel so lucky that my work allows me to travel and to see beautiful places like this... AMAZING.”
Beckham later shared a string of images posing by the wall with his 50 million Instagram followers.
Fans were sent into a frenzy over the father of four with many declaring the Great Wall as “the lucky one.”
One user wrote: “Of course it was just a wall till you visited it. Now it's great.”
Another commented: “A great person is on the Great Wall."
A third added: “I’d say that view is amazing.”
The post comes after the avid social media user gushed over his wife Victoria Beckham at her 10th anniversary fashion show during London Fashion Week.
The former professional footballer posted an image of his children sat on the front row at Mayfair’s Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac.
He also shared a clip of the fashion designer running along the row as she planted kisses on their children Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 16, Cruz, 13, and Harper, seven.
