David Beckham and son Romeo spotted at popular Essex pie and mash shop
Essex residents were given quite the shock on Monday (September 9), when footballing legend David Beckham and his eldest son Romeo popped into a pie and mash shop for some lunch. Tony's Pie & Mash shop in Waltham Abbey is a regular haunt for the Beckhams and other celebs such as Danny Dyer, and they welcomed both David and Romeo with open arms earlier this week.
The former England and Premier League footballer, 49, is a regular at Tony's, which is located not from Leytonstone birthplace. David was seen wearing a brown cap, beige shirt and jeans as he took pictures with other customers and the owner of the shop.
Meanwhile, Romeo posed in a grey tracksuit with a beanie hat on. The whole Beckham family are big supporters of the restaurant, which describes itself as a traditional pie and eel house that was established in 1995.

Both Beckhams hovered outside of the shop, signing football shirts and taking pictures with delighted fans. Owner of the pie and mash shop, Tony, took to Instagram to share snaps from their visit.
He captioned the post: "Look who popped in for lunch on Saturday. Always a pleasure to see @davidbeckham and family.
"They always make the customers feel special and make time for pictures and autographs. What an absolute legend."
