David Beckham Swaps Balls For BAFTAS - Footballer Set To Embark On Film Career

David Beckham’s basically done it all, hasn’t he? Dad, footballer, pant model, Amazon navigator – he’s like a QUADRUPLE threat, right?

So what else can Mr. Victoria Beckham set his mind to? What other arena of our lives can he permeate and spray ‘Intimately Beckham’ all over?

Well kiddos, apparently it’s the world of acting – yes, Goldenballs himself has got his sights set on Hollywood after hanging up his grubby football boots for the very last time.

Revealing that he’s been having acting lessons (or 'training’ as those posh actor folk call it), Becks told those girls and boys at The Times that he’s well-prepared for any flack he might receive:

“I am very aware that many sportsmen and other celebrities have turned their hand to acting and failed.

"I know that it is a tough profession, where you need a huge amount of skill and discipline, and I wouldn’t want to push myself forward too soon, without learning more about it, and doing a lot more practice.

“But what I have done so far, I have loved. I can deal with most things. I am a well-known person, so I have got used to criticism.”

Not appearing properly in 'Bend It Like Beckham’ seems like a bit of a wasted opportunity now, doesn’t it?

The former Real Madrid and Manchester United star player also praised his long-term pal Guy Ritchie, who directed David in his upcoming film, 'Knights of the Roundtable’.

After rehearsing for an hour EVERY DAY (all right Cumberbatch…), Becks said that Guy was full of praise for him, and very patient too.
