David Beckham’s starring in a Guy Ritchie movie!

David Beckham’s becoming a movie star.

Yep, just when you thought Becks couldn’t get any more perfect, he’s gone and confirmed he’s going to be starring in Guy Ritchie’s new film The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

OK, so he’s already been in a movie walking through the airport with Victoria in Bend It Like Beckham, but this time he’s going to actually speak.

The former England captain will be making his big screen debut alongside Henry Cavill and Hugh Grant as a projectionist revealing the mission for some secret agents working to stop a criminal organisation’s plans to use nuclear weapons.

Although it’s just a cameo, there’s no chance of anyone missing him, as he’s apparently integral to the film’s entire plot!

A film insider told The Sun: “Becks gets the plot going and sets the scene for the rest of the movie. He was very grateful to Guy for getting him a small role and it was a great experience.

“He only needed a day on set to film it so it didn’t take too much time out of his schedule.”

That’s our Becks. So talented that he only needs one day to perfect a scene!

Becks and Guy are super friendly, and have already worked together on an H&M advert last year, which saw David running around LA in pants. So we’re very thankful to Guy for making this happen.

The film director is clearly a big fan of Beckham’s work too, if he’s putting him in another film, so maybe we’ll see him playing bigger roles in the future.

The film insider added: “Guy thinks it’s great Becks is involved. It would make great viewing seeing him pop up as random characters in future.”

Agreed.

Becks was gearing up for the release of The Man From U.N.C.L.E on Monday when his Spice Girl wife Victoria posted a snap of him pointing at the movie’s poster on Instagram.

VB is just as excited as we are to see David in his film debut.

She wrote: “Excited to see The Man From U.N.C.L.E”.

Sadly, Becks doesn’t actually feature on the posters - not being a main character and all - but he didn’t seem to mind.
