David Dimbleby is leaving Question Time after 25 years

David Dimbleby has announced that he's leaving Question Time after 25 years.

After a quarter of a century fronting the heated BBC political programme, Dimbleby said that it felt like "the right moment to leave" and confirmed that he would be leaving the series later this year (via BBC).

The 79-year-old said that he planned to "return to my first love" which is reporting, confirming that him leaving the Thursday night show doesn't mean that he's "giving up broadcasting".
