Stuart Pearce says David Moyes has agreed a new contract at West Ham and claims that he will follow suit once the Scot's future is officially sealed.

The Hammers have been in negotiations with Moyes over a new three-year deal since the former Manchester United manager secured the club's best-ever Premier League points tally in 2020/21.

Moyes has long been confident that any deal would be a simple process, though nothing has yet been confirmed by the club.

Former employers Everton included the 58-year-old on their list of targets to replace Carlo Ancelotti, but West Ham have no fears over losing their manager ahead of next season’s Europa League campaign.

The Hammers are also keen to tie up deals for all of Moyes's backroom staff alongside his own contract.

Asked when that would happen, coach Pearce told Talksport: “He [Moyes] is certainly speaking with the club now I think, for all intents and purposes he has agreed and the club have agreed to extend his contract as such.

“Until certainly David agrees his contract, it’s folly me making any sort of movements towards signing a contract at the club.

“The club have made me an offer which I am very grateful for, but I have not spoken to them in regard to agreeing a contract because my allegiance is with David in many ways as he was the one who brought me to the club."
