David Platt set to go off the rails again when Shona demands a divorce in 'Coronation Street'
Poor David Platt is set for even more heartache in Coronation Street as it’s been revealed that wife Shona will demand a divorce when she returns to the cobbles.
Shona – who’s played by Julia Goulding in the ITV soap – was left in a coma after being shot on Christmas Day.
When she eventually regained consciousness, Shona couldn’t remember any part of her life with David and his kids, Max and Lily.

She even asked him to stop visiting because it was too traumatic for her, leaving David devastated.
Shona was then moved to a specialist clinic in Leeds. The storyline was to allow Julia to go on maternity leave.
The Sun has reported that when Shona returns, she’ll make it clear that she wants to ‘draw a line’ under her marriage to hairdresser, David.
Shona and David tied the knot last year following David’s stint in prison for his part in stealing £80,000 from his gran, Audrey Roberts.
But Shona had no recollection of the big day after her accident, despite David showing her photos from the wedding.

Shona’s bombshell will hit David like a tonne of bricks, sending him spiralling off the rails.
Actor Jack P. Shepherd – who’s played troubled David for 20 years – told TV Times magazine: “David's living on the edge right now, and David on the edge is capable of anything.”
Corrie fans were excited last week when the soap’s official Instagram account shared a video of Julia back on set.
They posted a clip with the caption: “"Guess who was back filming with us this week? We've missed you @juliagoulding #SaturdaySneakPeek #Corrie #BehindTheScenes."
An excited Julia said in the clip: “Hi everyone, you may be wondering why I'm wearing my Coronation Street warm coat, it's because Shona's back!”
Coronation Street continues tonight at 7.30pm on ITV.
