It's curtains for This Time Next Year, as ITV has decided to officially "rest the show" after three series.

Presented by The Masked Singer's Davina McCall, appearing on This Time Next Year proved to be a life-changing experience for various people, but the channel is exploring other projects now.

The show, which would normally be in production at this point of the year, saw contestants challenged to turn their lives around in just 12 months.

An ITV spokesperson confirmed to The Sun: "After three brilliant series of This Time Next Year – where over 100 people successfully pledged a resolution to help their lives in some way – we have decided to rest the show.

"We'd like to thank Davina, the brilliant production team and all of the show's fantastic contributors for all of their hard work and for making the series such compelling viewing."

This Time Next Year's cancellation isn't the first bit of bad news for Davina recently, as last month it was also confirmed that her show £100k Drop was being axed over on Channel 4.

In better news, however, Davina's latest show The Masked Singer is a certified hit for ITV.

The Masked Singer airs Saturdays at 7pm on ITV.
