Dawn French reveals she’s keen to take more drugs

Comedian Dawn French has spilled the beans on her plans to grow old disgracefully.

In fact, she’s even claiming that she’s going to make up for lost time and dabble with DRUGS as she gets older.

Steady on, Dawn!

The 59-year old star says she avoided illegal substances like the plague as she shot to fame back in the 1980s, and wants to make amends for that as she hits her 60s.

“Back then I did no drugs whatsoever, which I regret massively, and I am intending to do loads of drugs when I’m much older,” she told fellow comedian Richard Herring on his podcast.

“Some hot drugs coursing through your veins would add to the fun of being old.

“There are [magic mushrooms in Cornwall] but I’ve never looked for them…Magic mushrooms sound good, I’m up for that.”

“It’d be cheaper for a start,” she added, “A feeble old body and a bit of crack cocaine go together really quite well.”

Cheaper than what, Dawn? Anyway, something tells us that Dawn’s tongue was planted firmly in her cheek while she was giving that interview, but we’ll keep an eye on her regardless. Remember, just say ‘No’, Dawn.

The Vicar of Dibley star is set to return to our screens next month in a new four part drama called Delicious. The series is set in the stunning Cornish countryside, where she just so happens to live in real life, and is described as a compelling story of love, heartbreak, food and drugs.

Oops, not drugs, sorry female friendship. Anyway, it’s written by Dan Sefton, the man behind Diary of a Call Girl, so expect something very different to Dibley.
