We're not being funny, but the DCEU have a couple of questions to answer about Clark Kent – that horribly dodgy 'tache being one of them.

One thing they're never going to address, though, according to Superman himself Henry Cavill, is the small matter of how exactly Clark was resurrected in Justice League.

Y'know, that tiny, inconsequential plot point.

While speaking at a fan event in New York recently, Henry defended the DCEU's decision not to delve into death by using that age-old excuse of 'movies aren't real'.

"The wonderful thing about movies is that it's a suspension of disbelief," he said (via Comicbook.com). "We're talking about a guy who can fly, who can shoot lasers out of his eyes."

Good point.

Although admitting that there are "ways" of explaining Clark Kent's return from the dead, Henry went on to say that the "enjoyment" of the film is far more important.

"It's about your enjoyment. It's about my enjoyment. It's about enjoyment for the viewer," he explained. "We can spend four hours of a movie explaining why and how Clark comes back, but is that what you want to see?"

Whether we want to see it or not, the only way we'll ever get an explanation is if Henry is offered a hell of a lot of money to dedicate the rest of his career to Superman.

"If I had billions and billions and billions of dollars and I could make six movies a year all based on Superman, yeah, we would go through that," he joked.

On second thoughts, we'll just stick to asking about that 'tache.
