Dead & Company to Follow U2 and Phish with 'Dead Forever' Residency at Las Vegas Sphere — See the Dates!
The Grateful Dead spinoff band concluded its final tour in July 2023
Deadheads, it's time to book your trips to Las Vegas.
Months after Dead & Company concluded its final tour in July 2023, the Grateful Dead spinoff band announced a residency, Dead Forever, set to occur over six consecutive weeks at Sphere in Las Vegas.
"In 2023, Dead & Company played their final tour. But there are other ways to make sure the music never stops. And it's gonna be a ball," read a note shared in a video to the band's social media pages on Wednesday, ahead of the official announcement the following day.

Dead Forever kicks off May 16 with three shows scheduled per weekend through the residency's June 22 wrap date — and fans can anticipate a unique setlist at each performance.
Prospective concertgoers can register for an advance presale now via Seated. An artist presale then launches on Feb. 5 at 10 a.m. PT, while tickets become generally available on Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. PT. More information is available at Dead & Company's website.
The band, which currently features former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir and Mickey Hart, as well as John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge, Jay Lane and Jeff Chimenti, will mark the third live music act to headline Sphere, which opened in September 2023.

The venue has so far only been headlined by U2 with its U2:UV Achtung Baby residency, which is set to conclude on March 2 following 40 performances.
In November 2023, Phish announced a brief, four-night upcoming residency at the 18,600-capacity spherical venue.

“From the moment we first heard about Sphere and its potential, we’ve been dreaming up ways to bring our show to this breathtaking canvas,” said Phish guitarist and vocalist Trey Anastasio in a statement at the time. "We’re thrilled to present this completely unique experience to Phish fans."
Phish will perform at the Sphere on April 18, 19, 20 and 21, with tickets available for request through Dec. 11 at 12 p.m. ET at the band's website. Fans can also purchase travel packages via 100X Hospitality.
According to a press release, the band won't play any additional dates at Sphere in 2024 — but the four-night residency will "mark the beginning of a new relationship" for Phish and the venue.
