Dean McCullough’s Radio 1 co-star apologises ‘on behalf of BBC’ for his I’m A Celeb antics
Dean McCullough’s Radio 1 co-star has apologised "on behalf" of the BBC for the behaviour of his fellow presenters in the I'm A Celebrity jungle.
Greg James weighed in on the scandal on his morning radio show, saying the Radio 1 DJs "cannot be trusted" while highlighting the recent "jungle drama" involving Melvin Odoom, Dean McCullough, and some "pretty lame" contraband.
Both stars snuck prohibited items into camp, with Dean bringing in tea bags and Melvin sneaking in seasoning, with all contestants then subjected to a punishment. However, Greg wasn't surprised by the outcome.

He said: "Okay, so Melvin's been embroiled in some more jungle drama - contraband.
"Why are people sneaking stuff in and then talking about it? I don't get it. Like, the whole point is everything's filmed; it's telly. So he brought in some salt and pepper and the bosses found out. Of course they did."
He then played a clip from the show that revealed the tough punishment the campmates received for rule-breaking. Melvin, who'd landed ten cupcakes, agonisingly discovered that his recently won treats were going to be reduced to five.
Greg continued: "So, yeah, furious. Yeah, but you've only got yourself to blame. Well, you've got yourself and Dean to blame. What is it with these Radio 1 DJs? With the contraband? Pretty lame contraband, I gotta say - salt and pepper and some tea bags. Right, Dean's not taking this seriously."
He went on to say: "But the Radio 1 presenters cannot be trusted and on behalf of the BBC - ITV, I apologise."
Dean was recently nominated via public vote for a Bushtucker Trial dubbed 'The Sinister Sarcophagus', but the DJ became the first campmate to say the famous words "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here".
It meant the trial was halted prior to him obtaining the highest number of stars possible, with each one securing a meal for the group. Hosts Ant and Dec shared their disappointment on 'I'm A Celebrity Unpacked'.
Dec stated: "We are genuinely disappointed because you are prepared to do the whole trial and you want to see the whole thing. There's a lot of time gone into the trials so when it's called early, you're like, 'oh'."
Fans also took to social media to share their feelings, with one saying Dean should "get ready for a few more trials", while another added that he's "definitely going to be up for every trial".
It would appear that this was an accurate assessment as Dean will be trying to win stars in the latest Bushtucker Trial with McFly's Danny Jones.
You can catch I'm A Celebrity tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
