Death in Paradise is saying goodbye to another leading man in Ardal O'Hanlon. After three years at the helm, the actor recently revealed that he's decided it's time to move on.

But that doesn't mean he won't be missing certain aspects of the show. In an interview with Hello! he revealed what, or rather, who, he will be missing the most.

"I think (Jack) had a great mutual respect with [Selwyn Patterson] and they were always my favourite scenes working with Don Warrington. He's such a brilliant actor, he's such a great man, he has such a presence.

"You don't have to act with him, you just react. He's so good. I will really miss those scenes. I just enjoy them so much. We have this little dance that we used to do, it was kind of funny just working around each other, trying to work each other out and so that was great."

It's been announced that Ardal will be replaced by former Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps star Ralf Little, who will be playing the new Detective Inspector.

Meanwhile, the show's boss has previously stated that the door is still open both for Kris Marshall to return and for Danny John-Jules to receive a spin-off.

Death in Paradise continues tomorrow (January 30) at 9pm on BBC One.
