Death in Paradise returned for its latest series last week and, as a testament to its popularity, the BBC announced that they have ordered not just one, but two more series.

The series has changed its leading man multiple times over the years, starting off with Ben Miller, Kris Marshall, Ardal O'Hanlon and now Ralf Little solving cases in the sun.

This renewal will take the show up to series 12, but the question is: will Ralf carry on for all that time?

If he did, it would line up with how long each leading man has generally been on the show for, but speaking on Graham Norton's new show on Virgin Radio, his future on the show is unclear.

"I'll be back next year," he said, "but I don't think I'm signed for the two years."

So there you go, we'll definitely see Ralf in series 11, but after that is anyone's guess (for now).

Series 10 features multiple cast members returning, including Sara Martins, Joséphine Jobert and even Ben Miller, who was killed off at the beginning of the third series.

The current series was filmed two months behind schedule due to COVID, but still managed to make its normal broadcast window.

Death in Paradise series 10 currently airs Thursday nights on BBC One.
