Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency said the epicenter of the quake was about 10 km (six miles) southwest of Cianjur in West Java, with a depth of 10 km. The agency said there was no potential for a tsunami.
An official from the national disaster management agency told local media at a briefing that people were still buried under rubble and there were 1,773 damaged housing units.
