Debbie McGee Goes Back To Work In Show Of Love For Paul But Says She Wants To Cry

Paul Daniels’ widow went back to work as a radio host yesterday, presenting a heart-wrenching tribute show to her husband in which she admitted she wanted to cry.

Four days after the magician’s death aged 77, Debbie McGee told listeners of her BBC Radio Berkshire programme how she tried to make her husband’s final days more comfortable.

She said: “I don’t know how much I can talk about on the show as I don’t know when I am going to cry.”

Debbie, above with Paul, added: “I really haven’t been able to believe the love that has poured over Paul and I in the last month.”

Paul died last week after suffering from brain cancer.

On Debbie’s lunchtime show, which she has presented for around 10 years, she also recounted tales of her life with Paul.

And she picked several poignant songs to play in his honour including Whitney Houston’s Saving All My Love For You, Michael Jackson’s The Way You Make Me Feel and The Beatles’ Yesterday.

Debbie, 57, had been absent from the show since Paul was diagnosed with cancer last month.
