Decision made on 120-room Everards Meadows hotel
A 120-room hotel is to be built at Everards Meadows, in Leicestershire. It will join Everards Beer Hall, Rutland Cycling and Jenno's Coffee House already at the site.
An outline plan for the hotel and offices was approved in 2022, meaning the scheme was agreed in principle with the details to be decided at a later date. Now, applicant Everards Brewery Ltd's detailed plans have been approved by councillors at Blaby District Council, who met to discuss the development on Thursday (January 23).
The hotel will be four storeys in height. A maximum of 120 rooms are planned for the building, with two accessible rooms on each floor.

A total of 120 parking spaces have been approved, including eight accessible spaces, four EV charging spaces and 10 staff spaces. Some 14 motorcycle spaces are also included.
There will not be any meeting nor conference facilities for external guests, and no bar or restaurant, according to planning documents. This is to encourage hotel guests to make use of the existing on-site facilities within Everards Meadows. Two ground floor 'meeting rooms' will be available for hotel guests who need to work, the plan states.
