Declan Donnelly has confirmed when his first child with wife Ali Astall is due.
The TV presenter was in attendance at the BAFTA TV Awards on Sunday (May 13) alongside his pregnant wife, following the couple's announcement that they were expecting back in March.
As well as picking up the gong for best Entertainment Programme with Britain's Got Talent, which pipped his primetime weekend show Saturday Night Takeaway to win the award, Dec and Ali spoke to reporters on the red carpet and confirmed when their baby is due.
Speaking to The Mirror, Declan said the newborn would arrive in September, and added that the news is "very exciting".
"I just wish it would come out now," Ali added. "That we could fast-forward to having the baby. We want to get on with it – we can't wait."
Declan can currently be seen presenting Britain's Got Talent on ITV.
Following his presenting partner Ant McPartlin's drink driving conviction, Dec will host the semi-final and final stages of BGT solo, with the duo previously confirming that Ant "has decided to go back into treatment and step down from his current TV commitments".
Nonetheless, given what a superb job Dec did with his two solo Saturday Night Takeaway presenting slots, we doubt he need worry.
Thankfully, Britain's Got Talent will end before the baby is due, which means Dec will have plenty of time with the new baby before heading to Australia for I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here in November.
Britain's Got Talent continues this Saturday (May 19) at 8pm on ITV.
