Deep Water Swamps Watsonville, California

Heavy flooding inundated Watsonville, California, on Saturday, March 11, after the area was hit by “excessive rainfall” the day before.

The City of Watsonville issued emergency evacuation orders on Thursday, ahead of the forecast atmospheric river set to unleash heavy rain on the region.

Local media reported several streets in Watsonville were shut down by flooding on Friday.
