'Definitely Worth the Wait': Woman Stands in 8-Hour Line to See Queen Lying in State

A woman documented her eight-hour wait to see the late Queen Elizabeth II lying in state in London early on Thursday, September 15, concluding it was “definitely worth [it]”.

Twitter user Emily Wilson documented her wait from around midnight as she started near London Bridge, before moving along the south bank towards Westminster.

Wilson said she joined the line at midnight and had moved around 1.2 miles by 3 am.

By 6 am she tweeted that she was in Victoria Tower Gardens, the last part of the line.

She tweeted again around 8 am, saying, “After a little over 8 hours, I’ve come out of Westminster Hall. I can tell you it was definitely worth the wait!”
