Delay to hearing of man accused of stalking and coercive behaviour

AN ISLE of Wight man accused of stalking is due in court later this week.

Leon Gladdis, of Southfield Gardens, Ryde, was due at the Isle of Wight Crown Court today (Monday).

The 25-year-old is charged with stalking and engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour.

This relates to incidents in July and August of this year.

Peter Pride, prosecuting, told the court Mr Gladdis had refused to come out of his cell to attend the hearing.

An adjournment was granted until Wednesday (October 5) and Mr Gladdis was further remanded in custody.
