The 'delicious' Birmingham restaurant customers are travelling from Wales to visit
If you love BBQ food, there's no need to travel to the United States. One 'absolutely delicious' smokehouse in Birmingham has people visiting from across the United Kingdom and it seems to be worth every mile of the journey.
From Luton to Wales, the reason why people are travelling here is because of Holy Smokes. A BBQ smokehouse which only opened on the Ladypool Road last year.
The restaurant serves smoked beef short ribs, brisket fries and smash burgers as part of their menu. However, with the restaurant being halal, BBQ favourites such as pork ribs and sausage are not on the menu.

Holy Smokes has seen a lot of social media coverage since opening with a number of influencers and food reviewers popping in to see what the hype is about. On Google Reviews, Holy Smokes BBQ has a 4.6 score out of five stars.
Mohammed Alyufrusi said: "Food was off the charts. Drove from South Wales to get here and it was well worth it, will come again."
Khalid Mohammed commented: "This is the place for barbeque meat. Great quality and good service. I liked the BBQ smoked ribs. Tried the restaurant a few times and enjoyed it.
"But parking can be an issue, try and park the car away from Ladypool Road and walk."
A different customer said: "I travelled with family all the way from Luton. It was well worth the journey.
"Food was absolutely delicious, bursting with flavour & cooked to perfection."
And Adam James added: "Absolutely top notch smokehouse. The best I have ever been to (and I've been to a few including in the US). The meat was all so juicy and melted in your mouth."
However, one recent customer said: "What can I say, terrible experience all round. We went all out after travelling 60 miles to get to this place, ordered £90+ worth of food and drinks between the 2 of us and the brisket and ribs just tasted and smelled of nothing but BBQ lighter fluid and petrol, completely inedible."
