Delta Plane's Tail Knocked Off in Collision at Atlanta Airport

A passenger plane sustained major damage to its tail after being clipped by the wing of a larger plane on a taxiway at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Georgia, on September 10, according to airport officials and Delta Airlines.

In a statement, Delta Airlines said the incident happened around 10:07 am when an Airbus A350 made contact with an Endeavor Air CRJ-900 on an adjacent taxiway. The Japan-bound A350 had 221 passengers on board, while the Louisiana-bound CRJ-900 was carrying 56 customers, Delta said. None were injured, they added.
