Demi Moore has parted ways with her famous waist-length, brunette hair - temporarily at least.
The actress posted a photo of her new look to Instagram, showing off shoulder-length, platinum hair alongside an explanation. Moore, 57, is playing Linda in the television adaptation of the Aldous Huxley novel, Brave New World.
The series made its premiere yesterday on NBCUniversal streaming service Peacock, and Moore is slated to appear in three episodes.
“Meet Linda,” Moore captioned her post. Her daughter, Tallulah Willis, is definitely a fan. “Tbh, you blonde is a whole new truth I didn’t know I needed,” she commented.
But it doesn’t appear to have been a permanent hair switch-up. Considering Moore has been pictured with long, dark hair throughout quarantine, it’s a pretty safe bet that her shorter, blonder look was all thanks to a wig (and her scenes for Brave New World were shot pre-pandemic).
Even though Moore’s waist-length hair has become a signature look for the actress, that wasn’t always the case.
Before celebrities like Kylie Jenner debuted hair makeovers on Instagram every day, Moore was experimenting with different hairstyles onscreen and off.
She famously shaved her head for her starring role in the 1997 film, G.I. Jane, but Moore has also tried out bangs and a perm. She even went blonde in the ‘90s, a makeover that she showed off at the premiere for Dances With Wolves.
