There’s no doubt Demi Moore is an ageless beauty.

Still rocking her signature long, dark locks and low-key glam looks at age 57, Moore has never been one to shy away from showing off a bare face. Along with countless makeup-less selfies posted on to her Instagram feed, earlier this year, she also attended Gwyneth Paltrow's buzz-worthy makeup-free dinner party.

So what’s her secret to preserving radiant, youthful skin? In an episode of Go to Bed with Me, a beauty series by Harper's Bazaar, she breaks down her "less-is-more" nighttime skincare — and quickly introduces the Makeup Eraser, a game-changing product made to effectively remove makeup and debris. She goes on to say she uses it alongside Retrouve Luminous Cleansing Elixir and CosMedix Benefit Clean.

“One of the key things that I think that’s totally saved my skin is the Makeup Eraser Cloth,” says Moore. “My mother always drilled in me —no matter what— that you should [cleanse] and moisture your skin. So I’m telling you, this thing literally takes everything off.”

While it might resemble your typical face cloth, the Makeup Eraser is made with premium, patented, antibacterial polyester fibres to remove makeup with just water, making it perfect for those reactive and sensitive skin types. Featuring a dual-sided design, the short-fibre side works to remove makeup while the side with the long fibres helps to gently exfoliate the skin without the need for abrasive scrubs and ingredients.

Backed up by 79,000 “loves” and 2,000 reviews on Sephora’s website, one MakeUp Eraser is said to equal to 3,600 makeup wipes — simply wash and re-use up to 1,000 times.

“I was skeptical that this would work, but it removes more makeup than any wipe I've tried (I've tried many!) and more than any balm too. I'm really impressed and it is much more environmentally friendly than wipes and balms in plastic pots,” raves one five-star reviewer.

“To give an idea of how well this may or may not work for you, I’ll list what I typically wear: primer, concealer and powder foundation, waterproof brow pomade and brow pencil, paint pot eyeshadow, waterproof eyeliner and mascara. I soak (like a lot) a section of the cloth in warm water, hold it over one eye for a few seconds and gently wipe - 95% of the makeup is gone, a second wipe will get the corner of my eye that usually has some eyeliner leftover... Much more efficient than the Neutrogena makeup wipes I used to use, and no burning sensation on my sensitive skin,” says another.

“Obviously it’s not as gentle as a cleansing balm because of the need for wiping, but I think it’s good for someone on a tighter budget or for travel. I put it in a delicates bag when I throw it in the wash and it holds up just fine!”

The rest of Moore's routine is fragrance-free and focused on being gentle to cater to her hypersensitive skin. In addition to her trusted cleansing products, Moore introduces an aromatherapy mist and "brand-new favourite," NIOD's Copper Amino Isolate Serum 2:1, which she applies every morning and night. Following serum, she likes to replenish her face, neck and chest with a mixture of moisturizers.

Moore will occasionally reach for a rose quartz gua sha to activate blood flow in her face.

"When you're over 50 and you feel like your skin is hitting the floor, this is an incredible uplift," she adds.
