Paul Hayward

Deontay Wilder by stoppage. Tyson Fury was heroic in the first fight and will again be the superior boxer in this rematch, but Wilder always lands, and Fury may not be able to manage a second dose of the defending champion's awesome finishing power. Cuts to Fury's eyes are another concern.

Anthony Joshua

Joshua said: “I think Fury wins. I said it. I think the man that nearly done it the first time won’t get it wrong the second time.

“I think that he came close the first time to the point of a draw, it wasn’t like a 12-round masterclass then got battered in the 12th and that just separated it.

“It was a draw, it was that close. So I just think Tyson Fury is going to correct his wrongs and come back and win.”

Lennox Lewis

Lewis told talkSPORT Fury will want to knock the WBC king out.

“Tyson Fury has the power, he just needed to develop it properly and for someone to bring it out of him.

“The guy is 6ft 9in – he did concuss Deontay a little in the first fight, so he has the power to effect him. If he is going to go after him, he better make it good.

“I’m thinking he’s going to muller him for a minute and then get back to the boxing.”

Canelo Alvarez

Canelo told ESPN Mexico: “It’s going to be a very interesting fight. If Tyson does things right until the last second of the fight, I see him with more possibilities. [He must have] the perfect fight.

“Tyson moves very well and is very smart above the ring. We know that Wilder has an impressive power, that at any moment he can finish the fight with a single blow.”

Gareth A Davies

It remains a very difficult fight to call. Fury won the last one by a country mile. Wilder will be more patient, which may play into Fury's hands. Wilder can win by KO at any moment, but Fury on points, using a little more educated pressure, this time.

David Haye

Haye told BT Sport: “Fury boxed brilliantly first time around, that was with Ben Davison in his corner. He doesn’t have Ben in the corner this time.

“In his last fight, he got a couple of horrendous cuts over his eye. That could open up again, which would mean he’d have the same fight with one eye.

“Trying to beat Deontay Wilder with two eyes is tough enough.

“The fact that I’m hearing he’s putting on additional weight, which may slow his mobility down, his speed and reflexes down, I have to go with Deontay Wilder by stoppage.”

Wladimir Klitschko

Fury told The National: “Either Wilder is going to knock out Fury or Fury is going to win on points.

“Personally, I respect Wilder a lot – he was in my training camp, we spent rounds in the ring. He’s a great guy and a fantastic boxer.

“As many knockouts as he has, you’ve probably no one else, in current times, any heavyweights, including me.

“I think, or I wish, that actually Fury, believe it or not, might make it.”

Claressa Shields

Tyson Fury is a great boxer, and a huge person, but for me Deontay Wilder has the power in his hand to stop anyone and will get the knock out from the mid to late rounds.

Carl Froch

Froch told Boxing Social: “I just think it can go either way, everyone’s gonna say Wilder by knockout or Fury by points.

“What’s gonna actually happen? I’m gonna say Fury points.

“Because he was ill-prepared for their first fight, he fought two nobodies, then he got in with Wilder and he did what he did.

“Now he’s had a bit more time, but you just never know because Wilder’s such a monster puncher.”

Sugar Ray Leonard

"I like Deontay Wilder to win, possibly by knockout, because of his speed and power but, in truth, I don't see either guy being knocked out. Wilder has improved setting up the right hand, Fury has a great chin."

Manny Pacquiao

"Never bet against a  puncher, particularly one like Deontay Wilder. I look at Wilder like I do at a Mike Tyson, another puncher. I see Wilder winning this rematch with Tyson Fury by 10th-round knockout."

Thomas Hearns

"Deontay Wilder can box and win, but I think that his power will be the difference in defeating Tyson Fury. I believe that it will go to a decision again, but with Deontay Wilder winning it."

Evander Holyfield

"I'm picking Deontay Wilder based on his confidence and the fact that he does all of the right things to remain in great shape, and that he's committed to his craft. Wilder's not just a big guy with a right hand, but he's also become more calculated in his approach. That's why I'm picking him to win this second fight against Tyson Fury."

Larry Holmes

"Deontay Wilder will knock out Tyson Fury in the seventh or eighth round if he does what I know that he can do, which is stay on the outside, use his jab, throw that right hand over the jab."

Mike Tyson

"I like both of them as fighters, they both came from nothing and achieved becoming heavyweight champion; you have to respect that, I was in their position one time. In the first fight I was hoping for Tyson Fury, I always pulled for him because he was named after me, that is the natural thing to do, right? I was always biased toward him. This will be a really interesting fight because both guys will have something to prove. I just wish the best for Tyson Fury, I'm a Tyson fan."

Conor McGregor

"Deontay Wilder's a power guy, but I think if [Fury] keeps his mind strong, keeps his playfulness in there, keeps his sharpness and his elusiveness, I think he can do the job."

Ricky Hatton

"I think Tyson is the best heavyweight in the division and I think Wilder is the second-best heavyweight in the division. If it's half the fight it was last time from the value of the spectator point of view, we're in for a treat, aren't we? I thought [Fury] won the last one and I think he'll win this one."
