A deputy in Tampa, Florida, brought a wrong-way driver, who was allegedly driving under the influence, to a safe stop on the morning of August 25.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, deputies spotted a vehicle travelling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Florida’s State Road 580 just after 1am.
“The elderly female driver almost struck several vehicles including a semi-truck. She failed to yield to deputies when they attempted several times to pull her over,” Sergeant Amanda Sinni with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said in the video.
“Deputies successfully stopped the vehicle using a Precision Immobilization Technique Manoeuvre and took the driver into custody,” the sheriff’s office said.
