Derby County have clinched the signing of Ipswich Town winger Marcus Harness on loan.

In what was their second deal of deadline day, after the arrival of Nat Phillips, the Championship promotion winner has put pen to paper on a deal until the end of the season.

Harness played an integral role in Ipswich's promotion push last season as the Tractor Boys secured promotion to the Premier League.

The winger has featured twice for Kieran McKenna's side this season which came on the opening day in a 2-0 defeat against Liverpool and then in the 4-1 reverse at Manchester City.

Last season Harness made 39 appearances in all competitions for Town and will be reunited with his former Ipswich team-mate Kayden Jackson who signed at the club this summer.

His arrival gives Derby head coach Paul Warne plenty of options on the flanks with Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Tom Barkhuizen, Corey Blackett-Taylor and Jackson all vying for places out wide.

Harness's arrival means that Derby now have five loans which is the maximum a team can have in a matchday squad after the signings of Jerry Yates, David Ozoh, Tawanda Chirewa and Phillips.
