With Derby County returning from the international break and approaching their 10th league game of the season, we have had a chance to reflect on what has been a promising start.

Paul Warne's side sits 12th in the league table ahead of their trip to Millwall this afternoon, when they will look to bag their first away points of the campaign at the New Den.

We conducted a big survey to ask fans for their thoughts about matters on and off the pitch, ranging from their verdict on what they have seen to David Clowes' openness to investment and the club's transfer priority in January. Derby's start to the season certainly made an impression, with 66 percent of fans ranking it as good, 13 percent excellent, and 19 percent average. Only one percent of the people who participated in the survey thought it was disappointing or terrible.

Having picked up four wins from their opening nine games so far, there have been some excellent individual performances, but Kenzo Goudmijn was the clear winner in terms of who has been the standout player.

The summer signing from AZ Alkmaar took 48 percent of the vote ahead of Jacob Widell Zetterstrom (19 percent), with Ebou Adams in third (11 percent) and David Ozoh fourth (10 percent). The remaining votes were split between Kayden Jackson, Eiran Cashin, Jerry Yates, Callum Elder, and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing.

While Warne's side have made an impressive start to the campaign, January will allow him to make some alterations to the squad. The response clearly shows that bolstering the forward line is a priority.

A whopping 94 percent of you said that Derby need a new number nine when the window opens again in the New Year. Of the players listed as candidates for top scorer this season, 47 percent believe Kayden Jackson will finish top of the charts, followed by Kenzo Goudmijn and Jerry Yates, who were tied at 16 percent. Mendez-Laing and Marcus Harness were also tied at eight percent.
