Derbyshire driver killed in crash as police issue urgent appeal
A Derbyshire man has died following a collision in a Nottinghamshire village, leading to an urgent appeal from the police for witnesses. The fatal two-vehicle crash occurred on Lincoln Road, East Markham, at 6.47am on Wednesday, September 4.
One of the driver's involved, a 57-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle involved, a 29-year-old woman, was transported to hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening. She is currently assisting the police with their investigation, reports Nottinghamshire Live.
Louise Melbourne, a case investigator from Nottinghamshire Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, expressed her condolences, stating: "Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the man who has sadly died. His family is being supported by specialist-trained officers at this incredibly difficult time.

"We are still in the early stages of our investigation, and we are asking that anyone who saw the incident or may have captured anything on dashcam around the time of the collision to please come forward to help us understand what happened. ".
