Derelict Elms Hotel on Sealand Road goes up in flames as public told to keep windows closed
The Elms Hotel has been completely destroyed by a fire that has roared throughout the night. Firefighters remain on the scene today (November 27) after being called to the derelict hotel building around 7pm last night.
Firefighters confirmed that the building in Sealand Road had suffered "100 per cent" damage due to the fire. Images show the flames reaching high into the sky with people able to see it from miles away.
People in the area had been advised to keep doors and windows closed as a precaution due to the billowing smoke.

If you live nearby we're advising you to close windows and doors as a precaution. Thank you for your cooperation."
Eye-witness Adam Dandy spoke of the sadness of losing the old hotel building.
Adam told North Wales Live: "So sad to see the old Elms Hotel on Sealand Roa burn down tonight. It started at 7pm from CCTV and took hold by 7.30pm in case anyone has Dashcam footage driving along Sealand Road. Just hope nobody was in there trying to keep warm.”
No further update has been issued from emergency services.
