Dermot O’Leary has sent his love to Michael Bublé after the singer was forced to pull out of the Brit Awards.

Buble, 43, was set to host this year’s ceremony but stepped down after his three-year-old son was diagnosed with cancer.

O’Leary – who replaced Bublé alongside Emma Willis – sent him “big love” as he shared a behind-the-scenes picture from last night's event.

He captioned the Instagram shot: “Just about coming to from last night. Huge deal for me to host @brits with the excellent human that is @emmawillisofficial thanks to all involved.

“And big love to @michaelbuble. This is us rehearsing, with the dawning realisation that we actually have to host the show later in the day.”

The post came hours after O’Leary and Willis sent their love to Bublé as they kicked off Wednesday night’s bash.

O’Leary said: “We are honoured to be yours hosts of course, but truth be told we’d much rather be down there watching Michael Bublé up here host the show.”

Willis added: “We so wish he could have been with us and everybody at the Brits send him all of our love and fingers crossed we will see him here next year.”

O'Leary headed to Warner's after party on wrapping up the ceremony and entertained guests by taking to the decks.

He joked this morning that he was powering through the day by eating sausages.

“Many thanks for the kind messages re: @BRITs Huge deal to host it, with lovely @EmmaWillis Today... I shall mostly be eating sausages...”

He was joined at the party by Holly Willoughby, Brooklyn Beckham, Dougie Poynter and Ashley Roberts.
